Junior Legal Counsel

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our legal team and driving the success of Netenders. Collaborating with our experienced professionals, you'll co-create solutions and gain invaluable experience.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Document preparation: draft, review, adapt, and translate legal documents, including contracts, terms and conditions, policies, disclaimers, minutes, reports, marketing content, and communications.
- Contract management: provide support to assess contracts and ensure alignment with Netenders’ guidelines and target interests, suggest amendments, and maintain detailed records.
- Corporate support: assist in the creation, modification, and dissolution of companies and subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Compliance support: assist with legal audits and compliance reviews, including digital compliance and data protection, and conduct due diligence processes to support strategic transactions and initiatives.
- Dispute management: monitor ongoing disputes across jurisdictions, assist with case negotiations involving suppliers, customers, or partners, and ensure strict compliance with deadlines.
- Legal research: conduct thorough legal research on laws, regulations, and case law to support legal strategies.
- General support: address day-to-day legal matters, including data protection compliance, intellectual property (trademark registration), unfair competition, and customer service issues. Collaborate with external advisors and communicate effectively with providers when required.
- Document management: file and maintain organized physical and digital records of relevant legal and corporate documents.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- An Associate's or higher degree in Legal Studies or a related field.
- 1–2 years of proven experience in a law firm or the Legal Department of a company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish are a must. Proficiency in French is a plus.
- Familiarity with e-commerce regulations, digital compliance, intellectual property, and data protection laws is strongly desired.
- Proven skills in legal drafting and the ability to tailor provisions and arguments to multiple jurisdictions and business contexts.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- A sharp legal mind with an out-of-the-box and commercial vision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
