Finance Controller
Join Netenders as our Financial Controller and make a strategic impact across the business
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Financial Controller to lead and optimize our financial operations at the Group level. In this key role, you will oversee accounting processes, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, risk control, and compliance.
You will support strategic decision-making through in-depth financial analysis and collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
What you’ll be doing
Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Oversee month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Monitor and analyze financial results, comparing actuals with the annual budget and identifying key variances.
Update the Group’s financial model monthly and communicate findings to top management.
Lead the preparation of dashboards and KPIs to support agile and data-driven decision-making.
Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Consolidate financial results from international subsidiaries.
Coordinate audit processes and manage documentation for both internal and external audits.
Handle complex accounting issues and prepare technical financial reports.
Support tax and legal teams in global export operations and restructuring projects.
Drive improvements in internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes.
Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, ensuring data confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and develop the Finance & Accounting team and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Sales, IT, Logistics, and Customer Service to align financial performance with business objectives.
Provide regular reports to the management team on financial performance, actions taken, and future plans.
What we expect from you
Required qualifications
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+5 years of experience in finance and accounting in international environments.
Deep understanding of accounting standards, tax compliance, and financial operations.
Experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
Advanced proficiency in accounting/financial software and tools.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
Proactive, structured, and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Fluency in Spanish and a B2 level of English proficiency. Knowledge of other languages is considered a plus.
Preferred experience
Background in the e-commerce sector.
Experience in auditing or working with audit firms.
Knowledge of international tax implications in cross-border transactions.
